Introduction

Astley Sports Village, part of Stamford Park Trust, delivers a wide range of leisure-facility and community-based services across our academies in Tameside. Astley Sports Village may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, date of birth, address, contact number and email address, as well as financial information for transactions. Due to the nature of the services we offer, we may also collect sensitive personal information such as health and medical information. 

What data we may collect and process from you

  • Information you provide when registering or requesting services.

  • Information you provide through our online booking systems.

  • Information you provide when making bookings or purchasing memberships.

  • Records of correspondence if you contact us.

  • Survey responses for research purposes (optional).

  • Details of transactions, including ticket purchases, memberships, bookings, and payment information.

  • Details of your visits to our facilities.

  • Other information you provide to us, for example when providing us with comments on our services.

  • Video or photographs at events and CCTV footage (generally not focusing on individuals specifically).

What Astley Sports Village collects and uses your personal data for

  • Allow access and use of facilities and services associated with Astley Sports Village.

  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you.

  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered between you and us.

  • Provide payments for membership activities, facilities and services.

  • Ensure safe and correct use of activities and facilities.

  • Provide pseudonymised activity data and statistics to key partners i.e. Tameside Council, Sport England as required.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data

When you join Astley Sports Village or use our services, we need to process your data to meet our contractual obligations, enabling access to our facilities and activities. Members include anyone with a membership package or who books regularly or occasionally.

We also process your data for service usage statistics and debt recovery for Stamford Park Trust on the basis of legitimate interests.

Astley Sports Village may inform you about other products and services or contact you for surveys regarding current or potential new services.

Sometimes, we must process your data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

Consent

We generally do not use consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data, except for sending direct marketing via email or text. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at 0161 338 6872 or info@astleysportsvillage.org.uk.

Withdrawing consent may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our obligations, including providing services or accessing facilities. It might also result in cancelling your membership or service with us.

For children under 13, we obtain parental consent and make reasonable efforts to verify that the person giving consent has parental responsibility.

We take measures to protect your information. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online.

Marketing

We wish to inform you about products and services that may interest you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you can opt out anytime. You have the right to stop us from contacting you or sharing your information with other organisations at any time.

Disclosure

Astley Sports Village uses data processors and shares your personal data with organisations that support its operations. Your data is not shared with any third parties not directly related to Astley Sports Village activities.

Astley Sports Village does not sell, rent, or lease its customer list to third parties.

Astley Sports Village may share data with trusted partners for statistical analysis; however, personally identifiable data (such as your name, address, contact number, and email address) is not transferred to these third parties. All third parties are only permitted to use your personal information to provide services to Astley Sports Village and are required to maintain its confidentiality.

We may also share your personal data with service providers acting as processors based in the United Kingdom who provide IT and system administration services.

Retention period

Astley Sports Village will process personal data for as long as you remain a current member/user with us. We will store your personal data for 24 months after you have cancelled your membership or for a 24-month period of inactivity.
