NHS & ASV Fundraising Success!
Astley Sports Village demonstrated its commitment to community and health by partnering with Tameside Hospital for the 2nd time to support their 'Santa Static Cycle' event on Tuesday 17th December. The initiative raised an amazing £265 to support the hospitals' on-going efforts to enhance patient care and experience.
The event saw 8 NHS staff members, and our own Team ASV Sam, collectively cycling a whopping 130km (Tameside and Glossop boarder) with each participant having just 30mins to cover as much distance as possible! Everyone put in a tremendous amount of effort and there was a lot of sweaty bodies at the end of it!!
"Events like these showcase the power of coming together as a community" said Emily Burgin, Charity Manager at Tameside Hospital. "This is our 2nd successful event working alongside Astley Sports Village and we have formed a fantastic relationship that we are excited to keep growing. The funds raised will go directly to improving the care and wellbeing of the patients who come through our doors and need our support. A big thank you to Astley Sports Village for their continued support."
Great work by TEAM ASV Sam in setting up this great partnership and well done on the day helping clock up those kilometres on the bike! Future Spinning Instructor incoming :)
